Dumb Post Inn

Dumb Post Hill, Bremhill, Calne SN11 9JZ, UK – 01249 813192

Excellent pub with outstanding views. The staff are always welcoming and friendly. Normally the food is very good. However I ordered the Pasta Arribiatta and I found it very bland! No spice or bite to it at all. Not up to their normal standard of tasty food. Staff were exceptional though and as well as the normal tea and coffee offered they even had Green & Herbal teas.

I turned up tonight without having booked a table as I was dining on my own. The place was very busy with all table a taken, which is testament to the pub on a Wednesday evening. I ate an amazing curry at the bar and had a couple of lovely ciders. Great pub.

The Wheatsheaf

3 Curzon St, Calne SN11 0DD, UK – 01249 814040

Not bad for a local boozer. Has a few big screens for live sports. Fair sized garden with benches and outdoor stage. Glasses are clean. Toilets are reasonable but as to be expected for a cheaper pub. Dogs welcome. Outdoor stage. Notice board kept up to date with local events and services. Good amount of seating and table surfaces. Staff are super friendly. Clientele is a mixed bunch but friendly nonetheless. Pool table and games machine. Central location to shops and other pubs and restaurants. Live music advertised. Do not believe that there is parking on site.

The staff are brilliant, the drink I had was great. loads of space and the atmosphere was friendly. packed on Bikeday

Talbot Inn

9 Quemerford, Calne SN11 0AR, UK – 07879 827183

Nice pub with well kept real ales, new owners so no food yet, friendly staff and atmosphere.

Lovely staff and drink selection. Can't wait to see what the new management do with the place next.
